 Recipe Mekuah Gedang 

Mekuah Gedang name is derived from the Balinese word for "Papaya soup". If do not like papaya, can also be replaced with beligo, water gourds, or squash.


Mekuah Gedang Recipe Ingredients:


     500 grams of raw papaya, cut into 1 x 2 x 3 cm
     200 grams of meat, boiled, diced
     750 ml of boiling beef broth
     2 bay leaves
     2 kaffir lime leaves
     2 stalks lemongrass
     fried onions for topping

Subtle Seasoning recipe Gedang Mekuah:


     3 pieces of cayenne pepper
     5 pieces of cayenne pepper
     1 teaspoon chopped kencur
     1 tablespoon minced ginger
     Chopped 1 tsp turmeric
     1/2 tsp pepper round
     1 teaspoon coriander, toasted
     3 hazelnuts, toasted
     1/2 tsp shrimp paste
     1/2 tsp acid
     6 pieces of red onion
     3 cloves garlic
     salt and sugar to taste

How to Make Gedang Mekuah:


     With 3 tablespoons oil and sauté ground spices, bay leaves, lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves until fragrant.
     Insert pieces of papaya and meat, stir until wilted, pour the broth.
     Cook over low heat until completely cooked.
     Sprinkle fried onions on time served.
