Ingredients :

  • 1/4 cup additional virgin olive oil, divided
  • 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef ( 85% or 90% )

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp dried sage
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 - 1 cup chicken or beef broth, to skinny sauce if desired
